Decipher Twit-DM Export is a desktop application developed by Decipher Tools for Mac and Windows. It translates complex, raw data files from your official Twitter archive into readable PDF documents.

When you download your official data history from Twitter, the direct messages are packaged in disorganized JSON or JavaScript file formats that show user ID numbers instead of actual names. This tool deciphers those raw files, restores the proper username fields, arranges the threads chronologically, and allows you to save or print the chat history. Step-by-Step Guide to Exporting and Deciphering Your DMs 1. Request Your Raw Twitter Data Archive

Navigate to the More menu on the left side of your Twitter panel.

Select Settings and Support, then click Settings and privacy.

Under the Your account tab, click Download an archive of your data. Complete the security verification step. Click Request archive.

Note: It usually takes Twitter up to 24 hours to compile this package. They will email you a download notification link once the .zip file is ready. 2. Process the Archive with Decipher Twit-DM Export

Download and install the software from the Decipher Tools Download Page. Open Decipher Twit-DM Export on your desktop.

Click Next and upload the entire unedited .zip file you downloaded from Twitter.

The program will automatically parse the data, sort the threads chronologically, and link messages back to your individual contacts. 3. Filter, Save, and Print Your Conversations

View the populated list of contacts in the center column of the program interface. Select the specific contact thread you need to archive.

Use date or time range filters if you only want to extract a specific portion of a long message history.

Click Export It (or Save) to generate a cleanly formatted PDF document.

Open the resulting PDF to print it out or keep it securely stored on your computer. Key Product Features & Formatting
